NRCSA Center: Complete Immersion Homestudy - Santiago, Chile

About the NRCSA Center

Private one-on-one tutor foreign language classes are provided by your teacher at your lodging. Teachers are highly trained professionals with years of experience in the teaching of their language to foreigners.

Lodging is in homestays of native speakers with all meals provided. Only the target language is spoken in the homestay. Residences are typically outside of heavily touristed areas, in neighborhoods where the target language predominates.

About Santiago

Santiago
A curious mixture of skyscrapers, 19th century European architecture, and Spanish colonial adobe bungalows, Santiago's architecture reflects the fact that the city is really a universe composed of multiple worlds. The population is more than 5 million; nevertheless, residents are always likely to bump into an acquaintance along the city center's overcrowded streets and bustling walkways, since they're concentrated in a small area around the Ahumada and Huérfanos pedestrian malls. The city's many parks, the food, and a more relaxed attitude toward time exercise a magnetic attraction on visitors, as do dancing and nightlife, which begin at 10 PM and go on most of the night. Interesting sites include Cerro San Cristóbal; the Central Market; Museo de Bellas Artes, and its magnificent paintings, sculptures, and drawings; Plaza de Armas in the heart of the city; and Museo Precolombino, which houses artifacts of Central and South America's indigenous peoples.
