Lodging & Arrivals - Miami Beach, FL USA

Lodging

Host Family
Almost all participants in the program stay with local families, which we arrange for you upon registration. Host families are highly recommended in order to practice what you learn in class with your family at home, as well as to integrate yourself into the local culture. Accommodation includes different meal plans, depending on what you prefer. Many different types of host families are available, and we attempt to select the best match for each student. All families are carefully screened and must meet NRCSA and the local center's stringent requirements before being accepted as a host family. All host families are middle-class and live in homes and areas that are attractive and safe. Some are single parent families, others are traditional families, still others are multigenerational. The ages of children in the families range from a few years old to adults, or homes without children. Students are free to come and go as they please, but need to respect the routine of the family they are staying with.

Student Apartments
Student apartments are located within 5 to 20 minutes walking distance from the schools. Because of our proximity to the beach and the size of the island, this means all student apartments are also no more than about 10 minutes to absolutely everything you could imagine, from shops to night-clubs and, of course, the beach!
Student apartments have 2 or 3 bedrooms which are shared by multiple students. There is always one kitchen and and one bathroom and they are shared by everyone living in the same apartment (maximum of 4 people in any apartment). Students have the option of taking a private room in these apartments or sharing the room with a friend.
If you are arriving on the weekend, you will have to make sure you have the right information from NRCSA on getting room and house keys. Students who use our airport reception service will be given keys by their driver.
A $250.00 security deposit is required by all students staying in a Student Apartments on their first day of arrival at school. Your security deposit can only be accepted by credit card and is returned to you after a damage inspection is completed upon your departure from the Student House.

Arrival Information

Arrival transfer from the Miami International Airport is available upon request and at additional cost. Lodging information is sent 7-14 days prior to departure. Information of where to go and how to get there will be sent to students prior to departure.
