Lodging & Arrivals - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Lodging

Student Residences Students are placed in one of two residences where they can choose between a single or double room. Lodging begins Saturday at 12 a.m. and ends Saturday at 10 a.m. The residences are called Plus Residence and Best Residence. Students may state their preferences subject to availability.

Best Residence is 10 minutes walk away from the school on the beach promenade. Built in 1997 it is a six story building with all of the comforts of a high standard hotel: a lift, big and soundproof windows, safety deposit box, and TV (with a satellite connection) in each room. Best Residence is specially prepared for handicapped persons in wheelchairs so they can move about the residence without any impediments.

Plus Residence was built in 1992 and is only 30 meters from the school and 10 minute walk from the beach. It has a rooftop terrace which serves as a living room for the students.

Both residences also offer the same common premises and services such as a kitchen for small meals. Laundering (not ironing) of personal clothing is included in the lodging price. Bed sheets and towels are provided. Rooms are cleaned twice a week. In both residences there are single and double rooms all with there own bathroom. Each residence has a maximum capacity of 20 students. Included in the price is halfboard, with 2 meals (breakfast and lunch) from Monday to Friday, and 1 meal (dinner) on weekends and holidays. The cook prepares Canarian and Spanish food, but students' requests will also be considered, even diet or vegetarian menus.

Non-student Housing Students can be accompanied by and share a room with a person not participating in the course.

Arrival Information

Arrival transfer can be arranged upon request and at additional cost. Lodging information is sent 7-14 days prior to departure. Information of where to go and how to get there will be sent to students prior to departure.
