Visit Wat Prathart Haripoonshai Temple with beautifully gilded Jedee (pagoda) which contains Buddha's relics, about 1500 years old. There are zos, Meo tribal villiages, an untold number of handicraft cottage industries, river rafting, and museums.
Chiang Mai is the second largest city in Thailand located in the foothills (altitude 1100 meters or 3500 feet). Days are hot and evening cool. It is an ideal base from which to explore 700 hundred years of history in town and a wealth of unique nearby villiages. And donít forget the food!
