Sport & Cultural Activities
 

A variety of complementary activities aimed at leisure and free time are offered at the center. Participation in these activities is an excellent way to learn more about the Uruguayan culture, to relax and discover the surrounding area, and to increase and practice the student's knowledge of Spanish while enjoying the company of one of the school's teachers or a local guide. Entrance fees may be applicable.

Sports activities include:

  • Tennis
  • Squash
  • Ping Pong
  • Horseback riding
  • Mountain biking
  • Golf
  • Paragliding
  • Sailing
  • Diving
  • Bowling
  • Beach Volleyball
  • Yoga

Other activities include:

  • Spanish fiestas: School staff and students prepare paella, barbecue, sardines or several "tapas" on the beach or in the school.
  • Cooking Lessons: One of the teachers will show how to prepare typical meals.
  • An evening at the Montevideo theatre.
Excursions
  • Jeep Excursions: To an ecological complex in the mountains where a guide will discuss the natural landscape and historical places of interest as well. Lunch is provided.

  • Boat Trips: Local fishermen will take students on their fishing boats to teach them about their fishing techniques and the type of fish they catch. A fish barbecue is provided in the evening.

  • Excursions to Small Villages: A teacher or guide will take students to the small villages of the area. An Uruguayan lunch is provided.
