Lodging & Activities - Malaga, Spain

Lodging

Student Residence The school's student residence offers a range of options from fairly small singles to large executive rooms, all with en-suite facilities. Most rooms have direct-dial phones, most have balconies and the executive rooms also have double beds, fridge, bath (instead of shower) and a few nice surprises.
The 24-hour reception allows the guests to come and go as they please and receive messages. This also provides a high degree of security. There is a daily maid service and bed linen is changed once a week. As the residence is on the same site as the school, it is extremely convenient and allows students to use the swimming pool, sun terraces, bar, cinema, etc. without having to go more than 50 yards. The residence is very popular among the students and the executive rooms in particular offer an excellent alternative to the more expensive city centre hotels.

The cafeteria is open at lunchtime, during the winter, and in the evening as well, during the busier times of the year. It serves freshly cooked fish, meat and pasta dishes at very reasonable prices. The bar is the meeting point for most of the students. It is not only a place to meet, drink and chat (in Spanish!), but you can also play chess, dominoes, pool, etc. All meals and drinks are at additional cost.

* In the reception area you can also make use of the following services:

o Reconfirmation of flights
o Hire car rentals
o Instructions on how to use the self service laundry
o Rent a safe-deposit box, a TV, fridge etc
o Ask for information about bus and train times, opening times of museums, art galleries, recommendations of bars and restaurants, etc.

* To put you in the right frame of mind for studying you can first relax by the pool or on the terrace, making the most of the fabulous Mediterranean climate of the south of Spain.

Homestays For the serious student who is prepared to be flexible and wants to live a truly Spanish lifestyle during his/her stay in Malaga, staying with a host family can be the best option. Eat Spanish food (at the times that Spaniards eat), meet Spanish people and have an excellent opportunity to practice newly acquired Spanish in real-life situations. In exchange for these benefits students will have to fit in with the host family's way of life and customs and this sometimes requires a good deal of tact and flexibility.

Some host families live in private houses with gardens, others in town houses or flats: most are within walking distance of the school and, if not, a maximum of 30 minutes travel. They have all been selected and visited by the school's staff. Host family accommodations are available on a half-board basis in single or twin rooms.

Student Apartments Available on request. Share an apartment with up to 5 other students. Students can choose to have a single or twin room, the kitchen and other facilities are shared with the other students.
