Programs

Learning a langnuage should not feel like a chore. Our mission is to make language learning fun and to give you all the support you need to finally learn French and put your new skills to good use. We believe that there simply is no better way of learning a language than by living where it is spoken and by immersing yourself in every aspect of a new culture, and this is why we give you the choice of studying French in various locations in France or Switzerland. Our French courses are offered in several cities and all schools are accredited and known for the quality of their teaching standards. As a bonus, learning French in a French-speaking country means that you will have countless opportunities to practice what you have learned.

Orientation:
Orientation session is held locally on the first day of classes. The orientation is designed to provide students with important information about immigration, law of the countries, and the services offered by the school. The orientation program also introduces you to the educational and cultural atmosphere and provide an opportunity to meet other students.

First Day:
With regards to the program, all levels of the language are accepted, from complete beginner to advanced, and your exact level is determined by a placement test to make sure we put you in the right class. One of the unique things about the NRSCA program is the ability to combine the language classes with an extensive choice of culture classes. In addition to the language classes, we also include our culture and social events program in the afternoons for students to interact with other student and learn about the culture.

 

Programs

Standard French Course
20 lessons per week. Available for students at any level, beginning to advanced. Each lesson has a duration of 45 minutes. The courses take place in the morning, Monday-Friday. Self study in the multimedia learning center is available for all students, as are learning resources of all kinds: audio, video, and computer assisted language learning. These elements are all available for students to work independently.

- Speak with more confidence and ease
- Communicate in every day situations
- Extend knowledge of French politics, social life and culture

Combine Standard French Course and Tutor
Standard French Course in the mornings allowing you to make the most of group interaction, and tailor-made courses in the afternoons to work on points of your choice.

Objectives

- Improve listening and written comprehension
- Speak with more confidence and ease
- Communicate in everyday situations
- Extend knowledge of French politics, social life and culture
- Further study of specific language points as a function of personal and professional needs

French Semester
20 lessons per week. Available for students at any level, beginning to advanced. Each lesson has a duration of 50 minutes. The courses take place in the morning, Monday-Friday. Self study in the multimedia learning center is available for all students, as are learning resources of all kinds: audio, video, and computer assisted language learning. These elements are all available for students to work independently.

- Speak with more confidence and ease
- Communicate in every day situations
- Extend knowledge of French politics, social life and culture

Activties & Excursions
Students are encouraged to enjoy the innumerable sights, events and activities. Our local coordinators will provide tourist information, and help make arrangements, so that students can discover Amboise and immerse themselves in the environment. Local coordinators organize regular social activities to help students meet each and make international friendships!

 

Admissions & Academic Credit

Students age 16 years and older are welcome regardless of educational background, occupation or nationality. No previous knowledge of French is required except where otherwise indicated.

Students seeking credit for study should check with their home school before registering. Generally, U.S. schools consider 15 hours of study to be equal to 1 semester credit.

Certificates

A school certificate will be issued to students provided he/she has attended the course regularly. The certificate describes quite precisely level of language competence the student has reached in language training in the following areas: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
