Special Activities

Excursions,Cultural & Social Activities The cultural activities are offered daily after French lessons, and are well worth trying. They are an excellent way for individuals to discover a beautiful city and region, an experience which will broaden knowledge of the French language, culture and history. Students may choose ' la carte,' from a wide range of activities, once at the center. All entrance fees, transportation, etc. are at additional cost.

Examples of activities include:
  •   Guided tour of Biarritz's archtecture and historical monuments
  •   Opportunities to sample local cuisine (wine, Basque cheeses, chocolates, etc)
  •   Guided tours of the sea museum, chocolate museum, and Basque traditions museum
  •   Excursions to the Pyrenees mountains and travels to Basque villages, historical sites, and prehistoric caves
  •   Hiking, Horseback riding, and mountain biking
  •   Cooking lessons
  •   Excursion to Lourdes
  •   Thalassotherapy (Seawater therepy)
  •   Water sports activities
  •   Golfing, tennis, surfing

For those who do not wish to participate in the proposed cultural activities, full details regarding excursions and visits can be suggested by the school. The school also regularly informs students of free social events and activities organized in and around Biarritz, such as concerts, festivals, exhibitions, conferences etc.
