Activities & Excursions - Cannes, France

Special Activities

Excursions, Sport ,Cultural & Social Activities

There are a variety of activities that have been put together for students attending any of the programs. Upon arrival each student will receive a brochure listing the activities that are available during their stay. Certain activities are free of charge, others may require a fee.

Recreational Office

A recreational office is mainted with coordinators who are available to help students. The lead coordinator heads a team of five people who have been selected for their high levels of enthusiasm, subject matter knowledge, and communication abilities. Their function is to give guidance to students in the activities offered in the program. In the same way, this office welcomes students and can procure information on a large number of services which help students experience a genuinely French environment as far as the social, cultural and practical life in Cannes and its region is concerned.

The coordinators provide a schedule of local artistic, cultural and sports activities. Their role is to book theater, cinema and concert tickets as well as tennis courts, etc. at competitive prices. They have a file of indoor and outdoor activities available at the college (clubs, pottery, dance, drawing, photography, sports teams, etc.). They also provide practical information: bus, train and plane schedules, information on car and scooter rentals, hotels, and a list of shopkeepers and restaurants in Cannes, bicycle rentals, plane, train, and hotel reservations.
